A Date which will live in Infamy

“December 7, 1941- A date which will live in infamy.” -President Franklin D. Roosevelt

74 years today, America became engulfed in World War II after a surprise Japanese attack on the US naval base at Pearl Harbor. More than 2,000 American soldiers and sailors died that day. Today, 75 years later, we honor the sacrifices they made to protecting their country and we continue to honor the sacrifices still being made to protecting America.

All of us make sacrifices. Some may be big, others may be small. Some sacrifices are considered the ultimate sacrifice, such as being willing to lay down your life for your country. As we remember Pearl Harbor, remember we are just one generation away from the end of freedom. Remember our military, past and present, for others doing a job many wouldn’t imagine doing.
