“I love listening to an interviewee’s story and sharing it with the community. Everyone has a story to tell and I’m glad I can be a part of it.”

Hi everyone! I’m Megan, a writer, teacher, and humanitarian from North Carolina. Thank you for visiting and reading my lifestyle blog!

Originally born in Texas, I have called the Tarheel State home for more than 20 years. In 2015, I graduated from Salem College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and a minor in History. Three years later, in 2018, I received a graduate certificate in Middle Grades Teaching, with a focus on Social Studies, from Appalachian State University.

Since undergraduate school, my work has been published in local newspapers and on news and radio stations. Currently, I write monthly articles for Forsyth Magazines. In addition, I love writing about lifestyle, travel, pet, and community topics. Lastly, you can see me in the movies, as I’m featured in Nicholas Sparks’ The Longest Ride and That Endless Horizon Productions’ Levon.

As for my teaching experience, I teach at a local middle school and love the experience! Trust me, teaching is the best (and one of the hardest) jobs in the world.

Finally, I value giving back to my community and making a difference in the world. As someone who has depression and anxiety, I am an advocate for mental health awareness, as well as, helping veterans. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling to new places, and completing DIY projects. Be sure to visit my shops on Etsy and Teachers Pay Teachers. Links on under the “shop” tab.

I’m looking forward to taking all of my readers on this journey called life!

xoxo,

Megan
